Recently we added a new feature to the toolbox that searches the Cragslist listing for a automobile VIN number and then provides a link directly to the CarFax or AutoCheck website. This is pretty nice if you have a 3 month CarFax account or something of the nature. I decided to contact Carfax to see if they have anything else we can offer our members. And boy did they come through!

Now we can offer free carfax reports in two ways.

Free CarFax report way #1

You click on the carfax link within CragsToolbox, a new page opens. If that Carfax report was ever purchased by any dealer, you get to see it free. We tried it out by clicking on 500 auto links and of those 500, 421 of them were available and we didn't pay a dime.

Free CarFax report way #2

If when you clicked on the link and the carfax report was not available for free, you get a coupon for a free Carfax report. Just print it out, bring it to the dealer, and there you go.

Personnaly, I think this is an awesome deal. Ok, yeah it does not cover every automobile out there, but it may save you time and money when shopping for a car or truck!
